Invitation to attend the Virtual German CHI Week – from May 25th till May 29th

With 83 accepted papers and 34 LBWs, German researchers provided a sizable contribution to CHI 2020. CHI, the ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, is the premier international conference of Human-Computer Interaction. Due to the cancellation of CHI, we want to create a venue to present and discuss the German HCI research contribution by organizing a virtual german CHI week (https://www.germanhci.de/events/2020-virtual-chi/).

Starting on May 25th, each day of the week from 5 pm till 7 pm (CEST), we will present you with three sessions of timely research topics – from AI over virtual and mixed reality to games and physiological sensing. The sessions themselves will comprise around four to seven 3-minute paper presentations and several 1-minute LBW lightning talks on the respective topic. Each session will be topped with a 20-minute open panel discussion with the authors and international experts of the field.
We hope we can share exciting ideas, discuss our research, and provide the authors with visibility and valuable feedback on their work they would otherwise miss without CHI.

*** The event is open to everyone, all talks and discussions will be in English!***

You can find an overview of the sessions below and all papers and LBWs in the  detailed schedule on our website. We will update the website soon with all necessary information on how to access the event: https://www.germanhci.de/events/2020-virtual-chi/

We hope to see many of you there 🙂
